Love Don't Walk away

Love, don't turn away
Please don't leave my side
No, don't walk away,
Let me hold on to you.

When you go away
I stare with helpless eyes
A lamb of sacrifice
Watching killer's knife;

Let me hold on to you
Like a miser hording wealth,
Like a hanged man's last breathe
Let me cling on to life.

The Deepest Cut

Brutus stabbed deepest,
Caesar's valiant heart
Cried in anguish
While love over flowed from wound-
A river of wails for friendship betrayed.
Not envy, nor hate,
But falsehood's smiling face
Stopped that life.

In days far distant from that age
Caesars die in agony, again:
No snake so venomous,
No death so ominous,
No Hell so torturous
As trust gone astray

Lost Soul

Somewhere in bewildering mazes,
Somewhere on unending ways,
Somewhere 'twix waking and sleeping
Lives a lost soul.

Twisting and turning,
Uphill and downhill,
On a plateau, alone,
Lives a lost soul.

In twinkling lights,
In beckoning hearths,
In shrouding warmth,
Lives a lost soul.

Beyond shimmering
Vision or delusion
Blindfolded, trussed
Walking on, a lost soul.

Dead Leaves

Dead leaves
Lying on the ground
Drying and rotting,
No nurture, nor care,
In utter despair
Sans strength to move:

A gentle breeze
A gust of life
Instant awakening
Breath blown back from nowhere
A stirring, a fluttering,
Lo! death departs!

A forest fire
Rapid and wild
Blazing its fiery trail,
Melting and burning
Casting out dross,
A golden heart remains.

Goodbye to Love

No, not a sunset:
Eclipse shadows light.
Untimely darkness descends;
Awake or asleep? Demented soul
Poised on edifice; a moment, a blast,
Or was it a crash? Thunderous quaking
Yet annihilation aborted.
Groping blindly through Hell
A survivor, more dead than those killed,
Living in nightmarish dusk.
Andromeda, the accursed, chained to life
On barren mountaintop.

The Seeking

Long have you run, through sun and hail
To catch elusive stars;
In vain have you combed ocean beds
To find your golden bar;

Alas! your soul you lost in the race,
Pawned your heart for a dream,
Your world now darkens, sunset is nigh
It's time to sail upstream.

Seek no more in yon world without
your treasure you'll find in you,
Come home Dear One, come home once more,
In joy your life renew.

Our Days

Our morrows are shrouds,
What lies beyond we know not;
Sunshine face of happy days
Or some faceless clouds.

Our yesterdays are graves,
In them no life breathes,
Fight, or cry, or greet with smile
Nothing can them save.

Our today we will win,
Make it a perfect round,
Work and play and laugh and sing
Till our day is done.

Golden Days

I thought your paths ran through my yard,
You'd knock each time you passed,
I thought your heartbeats echoed mine,
My absence left you lost;

In your hearts I lived in joy,
In your smiles I laughed,
My days were flavoured with your words,
Oh! happy were those ploys!

Those days pass away with time
Those days dissolve, like ghosts,
Yet in clouds their shadow lives
Those days I love the most.

Lost Soul

My tears made your heart bleed-
Not so long ago.
With you my fears found peace-
And I could let them go.

How did those days change?
I can not understand,
Yet, today we two live
In very different lands.

The same sky spreads o'er head
Where shelter we could find,
But it is so o'ercast
We see two different lines.

The same breeze kisses us,
In whispers all around,
But somewhere we have lost
The love that we had found.

Oh now we are apart
On our lonely isles,
No more songs we sing,
Our lips no longer smile.

Two Lives Two Soul

Hot coffee and orange juice,
A piece of toast,
A daily drive downtown.
Words exchanged, and smiles-
Meaningless mundane,
No fire, no blaze,
My dead soul,
Living a deathly triviality:
Every minute, every hour
A tedious eternity.

Red roses with candles
Rainbows in sky,
Spirit of adventure
Never say die.
Limitless dreaming
Reaching for the moon,
A soul reawakened
Flooded with light
In every second
Touching the infinite.

Maid of the Mist

Lelawala, an elfin child,
To Mother Nature born:
In her heart sing Thunder Gods,
Her eyes are streaks of dawn.

Lelawala, a village maid,
A lovely bride to win:
For swain the Chief picks old Brave Heart,
Alas! It is her ruin.

Lelawala ran afar
While village children called:
Beyond the gates, into unknowns,
So distant now her walls.

Lelawala, she heard strange sounds,
From woods to her they cried:
Headlong she went o'er swirling tides-
As Maid of Mist survived.

Today she stands beneath her Falls,
Her arms for e'er upraised;
She calls, she calls to dreaming souls,
To live their dreams, unfazed.

Search

I seek roots,

To hold me to my ground,

To spread unseen.

I seek winds,

To blow away dead leaves,

To whisper of unknown realms.

I seek laughter,

To gladden this earth

Rent by strife and fear.

I seek faith,

To love this disordered world,

As a Mother loves her child.

I seeksunlight,

To brighten my darkening hours

To blaze a path to eternity.

I seek peace,

In my ever hungry heart,

In my final destiny of life.

Life's Journey

A thousand lonely mountains have I climbed,

Fighting 'gainst gails and storms, trudging through snow,

With faith that one day I'll touch my rainbow;

Day in, day out, pain on pain has piled.

A million Moonless nights have gone by,

In warm hopes of new Sunrise,

Days of happy memories to prize;

In darkness are lost my senseless sighs.

Cycles of rebirths come and go,

Awaiting release of eternal life,

Awakening into world without strife;

No more paths to walk, nor lamps to glow .

Many lives

Many lives I have lived in a lifetime.

A spectrum of hues,

On sifting sands, sitting by seasides,

My hands ever empty,

Unable to hold passing moments,

Unwilling to let each moment pass,

As Karna I stand on my battlefield,

Robbed of armour,

Tricked by Destiny,

Yet, I stand unbowed,

Awaiting a death,

Glorious in its ferocity.

Walking into Moonlight

Friend, let us take a walk
From shadows into moonlight,
On our way we'll shed our grief,
Some burdens we will slight.

If, by chance, more troubles come
Pouring down like rain,
We'll not run from post to post
Nor hearth nor dale avail;
Though primrose vales we may not find,
In our hearts we'll shelter gain.
Our feet will bleed, I know
While uphill we stride as one,
Yet together let's take the vow
To walk on till journey's done.

One of these Days

One of these days I'll live my life,

One of these days time will be ripe,

One of these days my flute will play,

Melodies of dreams, of unsung lays.

Time is passing, gliding away,

Oh when shall I live my own days?

One of these days my voice will sing

Songs of my heart in the world will ring,

One of these days my arms will hold

Garlands of sunlight bright as marigold.

Time is passing, gliding away,

Oh when shall I live my own days?

I Remember

I remember! I remember!

Those sunshine days of yesteryears

Of unbriddled laughs, our shared woes,

Those meandering talks till dawn was close,

Hugs and kisses lovingly bestowed,

Our fierce battles to prove we know,

Our memories sweet in hearts reside,

In our unshed tears their loss we hide.
