Lesson Unlearnt

Little bird, you learnt to fly
To leave your cage, to touch skies,
To dance, to sing, to stand alone
Are they torn? Are they worn?

Blooming flowers, your succour came
From sun, from soil, from root’s acclaim
One by one you petals shed
As days age till they are dead.

Breached stands the bridge of life
Calm is past, storm not rife,
Silence forms a stony wall
Within, without, non do call.
