In noon day of duty,
In compulsion to perform,
In race to touch summit,
Where has love gone?
In glare of false light,
In artificial morns,
In changing face of love,
Where has love gone?
In terrors that stalk,
In meagre lives forlone,
In created boundaries,
Where has love gone?
In smoke blackened skies,
In gardens wild with thorn,
In rain starved rivers,
Where has love gone?
In fearful child's eyes,
In souls wrecked and torn,
In a burden called life,
Where has love gone?
