Moon and Cloud

O silver Moon, celestial orb,
With lone abode in yon sky,
Calling to the earth-bound waves,
They yearn for you, they laugh, they cry.
They surge, they swell to reach your dwell,
They ebb and flow with your glow
You stay untouched, and fail to flow.

O dark rain clouds, floating high
Speeding on your wings by hours
Thirsting earth calls out to you
To stop a while, to rain down showers
You growl in thunder, flash with light
You frolic with the winds and gales
And tumble down for earth to hail.
