On Aging

Age creeps up unnoticed
Hiding behind day-to-day living
Age enters as visitor
Maintaining decorum
Age comes as pinpricks
Easily ignored
And as days pass
Age makes living tedious
Age becomes permanent residents
Age rips body and mind.
Yet souls still fly
Yet souls still stir
For souls never age
And souls revive.
