Wishes and Dreams

If wishes were birds, they would fly,
Soar to the Heavens, spread across skies,
But wishes are wingless, caged and pale
They creep through blood stream to no avail.

When wishes are dreams, they dwell in the eye,
They fire our thoughts and in hearts lie,
They urge and compel, strong and hale
They run through blood stream futures unveil.
