Living with Silence

Silence creeps into bones
Silence pervadess mind
A walk from room to room
Flip flop of lonely thoughts
To provide strength,
Pen scratching on paper
To provide purpose
Abandoned attempt
Retire for a while
Soar tempted to rescind
Self passed decree
Again gunning for action
Again stuck in time wrap
Now read and heave
Turmoil in distant lands
Stalk the mind
Like predator prowling;
Let me but gather myself
To jump into the fray
Let me not leave the field
To fade away.
