You are never enough
The work you do
The games you play
The thoughts you think
The words you say
Just not enough.
Your arms that hug
Your tears that fall
Your lips that smile
Your voice that calls

Journeys you've made
Battles you've fought
Paths you've laid
just not enough.
The life you live
The burdens you bear
The hurdles you cross
The promises you swear
Never, never enough.

Loneliness

Loneliness follows me
like a faithful dog
ever present
rubbing against my legs
cheerily licking
my cold cold face

Loneliness wraps me
in a kind embrace
like a much loved comforter
cocooning my distress
familiar warmth
in a cold cold place

Loneliness gnaws me
by day and night
eroding substance
etching out pouts
making me wander
in cold cold space

Loneliness satiates me
like a sumptuous meal
feeding my body
calming my soul
filling me up
with unknown grace. 

ঘর খোঁজা

এ দেশ ও দেশ ঘুরি
খাল বিল নদী পাড়ি
সাগর ডিঙ্গায়ে চলে যাই
আপনার ঘর নাহি পাই।

কোন ঘর শুধু খাঁচা
কোন ঘর হয়ে মাচা
মন মত নীড় খুঁজে যাই
কেবলি ডানা ঝাপটাই।

নিরলস চলা

থমকে যাওয়া জীবন
গতিহীন।

প্রতি দিন চলা
স্প্রিয়াহীন।

ফুল ফোটা ঝরা
অর্থহীন।

মাদলের তাল তোলা
বিধিহীন।

তবু ও তো বাঁচা
তবু ও তো চাওয়া

নিরাশার ঘরে
আশা দ্বার খোলা

বেড়ী পরা পায়ে
দূর দেশে চলা

নিরালা বিতান
সুরে সুরে ঢালা।

Aging

When mind's excited
And spirit yearns
Yet body is lethargic
Each step a concern

When the past is crowded
And future is blank
When days pass by
Walking on the plank

When memories float
And present day sinks
When aches and pains
Form continuous rings

When ground rules break
And charades are done
When eccentricities
Get flouted as fun.
