A month’s a long time
Call it eternity if you will
An eternity living in hell
As silence ensues
As darkness surrounds
Beliefs and hopes and dreams
Die torturous deaths
Life trudges on, sluggish
Uncertain steps lead to
Horrendous futures.
Each day a hundred die un lamented
None has time for the dying
Those dregs of society
The unproductive lot
Cowards that give up
The useless homeless crowd
O the relief of joining
Their community of nonentities
Dying a dog’s death,
Welcome relief from misery of living.
No escape for those with pride
For them the show goes on
Apparently alive, though dead
No heart, no emotion, no future
A carcass walking the roads of life
Unable to exit, unwilling to live
Killed by lack of one voice.
