Journeying back

We've come a long way, holding hands
touching, kissing. loving
hording our hurts in hearts
concealing pains, behind smiles
our white washed show no cracks
it's time for a turn around
to make river flow backwards
struggling to revert to source
e'en as Nature pulls forward.
Unequal that fight
one blindsided, fighting alone
power, resource accumulate
in other to tilt balance;
for one failure brings death
for other dishonour
heart fighting mind.
