I'm in a quandary- I really, really am
I've misplaced my precious heart
Somewhere in vast desert sand
And now I don't know where I stand
It used to live so peacefully
Within me, so safe and sound
I don't know what madness entered
I took it out, made it play around
Poor Heart! You could hardly bear
Vagaries of a cruel world
You tried and tried and tried so long
To learn the ropes, fit in and twirl
Alas! Alas! It was not to be
Your orientation all wrong
And then you just disappeared
Left behind your meloncholy song
So I wander aimless, ghost-like
Phantasm roaming among you
Carrying life in death inside
Uncertain what I should do.
