Dear Mother As You Depart

Do I bid goodbye, Dear Mother
Yes, in outer part
Do I bid goodbye, Dear Mother
No, no in my heart.
For you bore me and bred me
With love or with hate
You saw me in many states
Your presence moulded me
In the past, and of late
In veins run your blood and mine
Deny that truth, and I'll be lying
Wherever you go, to whatever clime
As mother and child together we shine.
